The full beat of the recent state- ment on the functions of the Italian Press made in a apeeth by Signor Mussolini to 70 directors of All the Fascist daily newspapers at the Palazzo Chigi is given below:-

"In an all-embracing regime, as a regime must be which has arisen from a triumphant revolution," the Duce declared, "the Press is an cle ment of the regimo, a force in the service of the regime.
