Perfumed Baths.
AT VERY LITTLE COST.

After a day of great mentul or physical stress a perfumed bath is particularly refreshing. Ordin- ory bath salts, porfumes, particu larly eau-de-Cologne or lavender water, or the well-dried rind of an orange or lemon' may be used in the walor.
A most refreshing and inexpen- sive bath may be made by using bran and lemon, Tho. usun! method for this bath is to take two tablespoonfuls of bran, placo it In a small bag made of bulter muslin or a similar material and add the shredded rind of half lemon (preferably rind which has been dried for two or three days). The bag, should then be tied up Fand placed in a quart of boiling water, where it should be allowed to remain for about half an hour. Then pour the liquid into the bath. The bag containing the bran and lemon may also be thrown in to
the bath, and used as a flesh glove, And it will be found to have most. whitening and softening effect on the skin.
By the use of oatmeal and orris- root another fragant bath may be made: Take two tablespoonfuls of oatment to one of orris-root. and place in a muslin bag. Then place the bag in a quart of hot. water for about ten minutua; squeeze the bag till all the white, milky liquid has been extracted, and add this liquid to the bath. The bag may be used as a flesh glove luring the bath
A sage and lavender bath is ex quisite, and for this purpose place a tallespyonful each of dried sage leaves and lavender tops in a muslin bag, and add halt a table- ++ spoonful of well-dried orange peel.
