The local offices of the Columbia Pacific Company, which has been es tablished in Hongkong for the past five or six years, received a telegram from head office in Portland yesterday notifying them of the United States Shipping Board's acceptance of their bid for eleven vessels which have boos operated by the Oregon Oriental Lino.

Mr. K. D. Dawson, who made the auccessful negotiations on behalf of the Company, is the Vice-President. Mr. F: H. Kirchhoff, the Oriental Managor will tour the East shortly to view conditions. The Company has Hongkong offices at Kobe, Yokohama, and Manila.
