At the Monument, the party was joined by unofficial mourners, in- cluding a number of civilians, members of other regiments and naval ratings. The funeral party was in charge of Captain A.N. Lewis of the Headquarter Wing, other officers present being Cap tain S.C. Renny, and Lieuts. A.H. Melaine and F.N.V. Tegear.

The first part of the funeral service was read in the Cemetory Chapel and the graveside cere mony was also conducted by the Revd. G.F. Stopford, Chaplain of the Forces. Among those present besides representatives of de- ceased's regiment were Messrs. W. Greig, R.A. Ramsey, J.D. Proven, H.G. Cooper and R. Dickson of Kowloon Dock Recreation"
