NEW YORK HOTEL FIRE. Firo' ruined the old Ford Lowry Hotel on a New York beach. Mrs Reva Solomon, 67, one of the 150 guests, became panicky and rushed back into the burning building to retrieve a few.dellars and trinkets she left in her room, smoke ovorcame her and the fire killed her. The blaze illumined the waterfront for miles.
