ALLEGED ASSAULT ON QUARTERMASTER.

An alleged assault on a Chinese quartermaster of the ss. Ning Hai, a Butterfield and Swire boat, by the Second Omcer, Mr. Kirk- patrick, resulted in Police Court proceedings before Mr. R. E. Lind- sell this morning. The Quarter master issued n summons against Mr. Kirkpatrick for assault, and the latter issued a cross-summona. A counter-summons, for the sake of discipline, was also issued by the master, Capt. Tinson.
