LAST VOYAGE OF THE IMPLACABLE-The old Implacable left Plymouth on August 31, for Falmouth Harbour, where she is to bo preserved and used as a training-ship for Soc Scouts. Our picture shows the stern of the old Implacable as she put to sea for the last time. AIR AMBULANCE USED.-Lieut. Cyrus K. Battis, army ace injured in a crash near Bellefonte, U.S.A., is car- ried hundreds of milos in an airplane to a Washington hospital. Photo shows him being taken from the ambulance plane. Doctors predict he now will recover.

FATAL SMASH.-The smashing force with which two interurban cars collided. near Monroe, Michigan, is illustrated here. The cars hit on a curve. Eight passengers were killed and the two motormen and two conductors and 22 passengere injured.
