AMENDMENT TO INTERPÖRT SELECTION PROPOSAL.
There was a large and represen tative attendance at the annual general meeting of the Shanghai
Football Association in the Cathe dral School, when items on the agends caused long and keen die cussion.

A HONGKONG DEFEAT.
Two more interport lawn bowls matches were played last week in Shanghai. The Junior Golf Club teams acted as hosts to both the Hongkong and Hankow teams and succeeded in defeating both of the visitors, the score with Hongkong being 27 to 16 and that with Han kow being 18 to 16.
In their match' with Hongkong the J. G. C. started off in the lead and, with the exception of the fifth end, when the score was six to five in favour of Hongkong, gradually Mr. A. E. Mr. Hughes withdrew his name on learning that Mr. Hampson was willing to stand, in view of the excellent service. put in by the latter gentleman during his last term of office as honorary secretary.
