FANCY DRESS BALL AT TSINGTAO. The height of the Tsingtao season was, as usual, colebrated with a fancy dress ball, at which our group, was taken. The first for ladies was won by Mrs. Henry V. White fa fan), seated in the centre, the prize for the most original costume by Mrs. Featherstonehaugh (a curate), and consolation prizes by Miss Collins and Miss Harris, who were dressed as golliwogs.

DUKE OF YORK AT BOYS' CAMP.-The Duke of York visited the camp for industrial and public school boys at New Romney, Kent, on August 5. The Duke is seen being welcomed by Mr. J. G. Paterson, the Camp Chief, on his arrival. (Times copyright).
