MCKINLEY GOES AGROUND.
THIRD RECENT HARBOUR STRANDING.
The ahoal existing in the har- bour fairway off the Kowloon Stor Ferry wharf was the scene of an other vessel grounding yesterday evening, when the President Mc- Kinley, the Admiral Oriental liner, went aground after leaving Kow- loon wharf,
The President McKinley cleared' at five o'clock for Manila, and be came stranded In almost the same: apot as the motor vessel Danmark about a fortnight ago.
Apparently she struck the mud bow on, and then her stern gradu- ally swung round with the tide un- til she was lying obliquely across. the fairway. She was able to get: off with the high tide, however, after being aground for about three hours.
She want aatern, and then swung but further towards the raiddle of the fairway and proceeded on het, voyage to Maulla
It may be re-called that the Danish motor ship Danmark went aground on August 2, when she was drawing early twenty-nine foot of water, and was aground for several hours,
Another motor vessel,-the-Ton- kin, grounded in the same spot last year, and reports have been made at various times by vessels making Kowloon wharf of haying touched bottom;
