A leading member of the Cabinet is of the opinion that an election will be held in a few months. Soveral applications have already been made to the Government to join the special police although the bill has not yet been approved by the Senate which passed it on a second reading after a strenuous debate. Sum- monses have been served 'requesting Messrs, Walsh and Johannson to appear before the deportation board on the 3rd. September. Reuter.
