The "super-multiformer" is a "compact arrangement of radio transformers that makes for neat- ross and ease in construction. In addition it does not require bal ancing with fixed condenrere.

:' THE COILS.

Preciso care must be taken in the construction and placement of the colle. L1, L2, 13 and L4. The tuner coil, L1 and L2 is wound as follows:-

Start 3/8 of an inch "from the top and wind clockwise, using the 18 DCC wire, for 59 turns.. If properly wound, this part of the coil will measure 3 1 32 inches. Without cutting the wire, jump exactly 14 inches and continue winding in the same direction for

The oscillator coil, L3 and LA,'

is wound as follows:

Start 5-16 of an inch from the

top and wind clockwise, using tho

samo wire, for 59 turns. Jump of an inch and continue winding for 30 more turns.

The connection to those coila are made as shown in the accom- panying diagram. They should be sat at least two inches away from any other part, to avoid internal intorforonce. The ac companying roar view photo gives an idea of the arrangement of those coils and of the other' parta.
