A NEW

IDEA.

This Paris frock gives a new idea as to how an evening frock may be safely anchored to the utarera slender chair about - the neck runs through an em broidered eyelet. The anathed, wrapped skirt is another novelty.

A new arrangement for the scarf has been invented. A scarf and hat set for sports wear of duck blue georgette, edged with leather cloth" in wide fringes, is worn in a novel manner. The scarf is passed over the top of the hat, and binds und r the chin like the wimple of a medieval lady. It is infinitely becoming to any woman with a pointed #face.

Speaking of scarves, there is no rule or limit to the ways, that they may be worn. The chief peint is to own several "scarves. some plain, some feather-eċged, same fringed, and some of tricot, and to wear the one which suits your costume in any way that seems becoming to your good judgment. Par's uses them for everything from skirt drapery and girdles to bat vells, and is looking for novel ways of draping them at any point of the anatomy.

The Frenchwoman has at last adopted the low beeled English shoe for sports wear, and the French manufacturer has suc- ceeded in making it amusing by combining different coloured leathers in its fabrication.

Woot stockings for sports are also, accepted by the French- woman, and there are some very Tretty ODCB which combina coloured silk with black wool. The black rits the outside of the siccking, and the silk lines the

inside, and showe between the
