DUKE OF YORK'S CAR SPEEDING. For driving the Duke of York's car in a manner dangerous to the public, Cecil Thompson Sharp the Duke's chauffeur, was fined £5 and costs at Bertford. It was stated in evidence that Sharp approached a blind corner in the village of Eaton Socon at a speed of between 30 and 35 miles an hour, and that, in pulling up, the car left marks on the road for a distance of 60 yards.
