RECENT SHOOTING

AFFAIR

Victim Leaves Hospital.

Mr. Shum Tze leung, the Superintendent of the Hongkong " office of the Chinese Telegraph Adminstration, who was recently shot whilst leaving the office, has sufficiently recovered from his- injury to enable his transference from the Government Civil Hospital to bis bome, where he is now recuperating. Unusual methods are being taken to ensure that no further attempt bo made on his life. One of those is the precaution of having the entrance to bit résidence protected by thres Indian guarde detailed for this duty by the Captain Super- intendent of Polico on application from the relatives of the Telegraph Buperintendent.
