Mr. M. M. Watson (appearing for the tenant) argued that, `a though it seemed rather hard that the sub-tenant should have

pay $97 month for a portion, when the lesson had to pay only $37 a month for the whole floor, $77 was the standard” rent under the Ordinance.

Mr. M. K. Lo (on behalf of the subtenant) submitted that if the circumstances were not in conflict with the Ordinance, It was ob vious that they were against the principles of the Ordinanor, Al- though the tenant was occupying a portion himself, he was making

From the Puisne Judge's writ ten judgment, givon this morning it appears that a tenant, under the local Rents Ordinance, can make these profits.
