THE YACHT SHANGHAT,

Mr. F. Urna informs the North China Daily Nece that he has pu ceived further information as to the progress of the voyage of the yacht Shanghai, which, manned by fire Danes, with Capt. Kjaer in command, left Shanghai on February 20 on a voyage to Denmark.

A letter from one of the advan. turous navigators on board the yacht, dated Manile, April 4. states that they have arrived safely at Manila. Very rough weather was met with in the China Sea, but from Cape Bojia- dor to Manila, they had a calm, in consequence of which the motor power had to be used most of the way. Without saile, and ] using motor-power alone, the made from five to six knots and were very satisfied with this re sult. During their stay in Amoy they were out on a pleasure trip with several residents of the part, including Mr. J. H. Macoun. Commissioner of Customs, who- showed keen interest in the boar and expressed the opinion that it would be of suitable type for Customs constguard work.

The Shanghai was to leave Manila for Batavia on the 7th iostant

Toe Postage Stamp 6 cents for postage and registration fee should be affixed on the address side of the card. Portags Stacops to represent the amount of the re mittance and commisen at the rate of 1 cent for each dollar or fraction thereof.
