Interport Prospects.
The annual general meeting of members of the Singapore Cricket Club was held on 28:h. ult. The President, the Hon. Mr. A. B Voules, in proposing the adoption
of the report and accounts, reviewed various items contained in the balance sheet. He pointed out that the revenue for the year under review amounted to $150,075, and iter defraying all proper and reasonable ex- penditure, there was a balance to: be put to the capital account of $1,744, a little more than one per cent of the revenue. That, he considered, showed the very care- fat and skilful way in which tha outgoing committee had managed the affaire of the Club during the year.
The President stated that a memorial costing $6.000 had been ordered and would shortly arrive.
INTER PORT CRICKET. An invitation had been received from the Hongkong Cricket Club to sead a cricket team from Malaya to Hongkong, but he was afraid that prevailing e nditions: made it very unlikely that they would be able to raise a team from Malaya
