Our Shanghai correspondent advised as a few days ago of the formation of a National Christian Council to co-ordinate the work of the protestant churches in China. A bulletin from the National Chris tian Conference states that this matter was discussed on the fourth day of the big Shanghai Conference
The programme for the fourth day began with the presentation of the report on the proposed National Christian Council, which came in the form of a section of the very in teresting report of Commission Y, dealing with Co-ordination and Co. operation in the work of the Church in China The delegates met for the morning session with special anticipation of this topic, since it had been evident from the opening session of the Conference that this would be one of the most vitally interesting subjects presented to the Conference and one on which vigorous debate might be expected.
