COTTON SEEDS IN CHINA.

Cotton seeds produced in Chisa, when compared with those of America and India, are not rich in oil. They contain only 3.5 per cent. oil, whereas the yields of oil of the American and Indian seeds are 13 per cent, and 16 per coat. respectively. Exports of Chinese cotton-seeds to foreign countries began in 1895 with 45,000, picule. From 1909 to 1919, the average export per year was in the neighbourhood of 16,000 picais. Socceeding years bave seen a great increase. From 1891 10 1916, Shangbai and Hankow were the centres of exportation Tientsin took the lead in 1919 when it exported two-thirds of the entire production in China. SISO-SCANDINAVIAN BANK.
