Geneva, Sept. 24. Hungary has withdrawn her application for admission to the League of Nations, and Bolivia threatens to withdraw fr.m the Louge because the committee of jurists has decided that the League is not competent to revise her treaty with Chile.

A compremise proposal by the Italian, Schanzer, was carried, ex- pressing the high desirability of holding a conference before the best session assembles.

London, Sept. 25. The Polish-Lithuanian dispute with regard to the possession of Vilna, at present occupied by the Polish general Zeligowski, was discussed at length by the Assembly of the League at Geneva which finally unanimously adopted a combined resolution moved by Lord Robert Cecil and Zahle, Denmark, appealing to the wisdom of Poland and Lithuania to settle the dispute. Lord Robert Cecil and M. Bourgeois pointed out that the Council was unable to arrive at a final recommendation because the case had not been fully submitted to the Assembly.

MORE LABOUR TROUBLES.

London, Sept. 24. Negotiations between the engineering and shipbuilding e- ployers and men on the question of the withdrawal of the war bonus have broken down after protracted negotiations. The withdrawal - involves a reduction in wages of ten shillings weekly, affecting three million workers. A conference of delegates of the unions affected to-day decided to seek intervention by the Minister of Labour in order to prevent dislocation of the industry.
