TRIMMED WITH NAIL HEADS

BY MARIAN HALE

Sae, the pretty lady is smiling? She is happy because she has on new dress with the most up-to-

date trimming.

Why do pretty ladies like ta wear nail heads on their clothes?

It's the fashion.

Would pretty ladies wear the dresses really nailed on if Fashion -Raid 10.2

Yes, dear. I think they would. But these nail heads don': burt'a

bit..

Nail beads by the way are very much in evidence for the late sum- mer, autumn and coming winter styles. They are shown in glass, brass, gun metal, all the popular hardware tints.

The gown in the illustration is of white canton crepe with a tiny insect or panel back and front upon which are the two rows of nail heads. The dress has panels of ribbon loops. These loops also trim the sleeves. Its simple straight lines are reloved by the novel trimming.

BRITISH ASSOCIATION DISPERSES.

Landon, Sept. 15.

The British Association has concluded one of its most memorable gatherings in Edinburgh. They meet again in Hall in. 1922 in Liverpool in 1923 and probably in Canada in 1924. The President, -Sir Edward Thorpe, in his concluding address said that the pro- ceedings showed that science was on the verge of a great new epoch. There was no question that science now was at the.parting of the ways and in the immediate future the foundations of science would receive a most fundamental development.
