RAILWAY SMASH.
Spreading rails sent the Pacific Overland train over an embankment near Mant, Nevada, killing four passengers and injuring twenty-one. As the photo shows, every caref the train left the rails.
LONDON CENOTAPH.
This photograph was taken just after King George unveiled
the huge cenotaph which was erected to the memory of the un- known dead of Great Britain in the war.
SINN FEIN FLAG IN FRISCO.
The flag of the Irish Republic was carried alongside Old Glory in the McSwiney memorial parade in San » Francisco. American war veterans in full uniform were the colour bearers.
IN FRANCE AND ENGLAND.
Above picture shows the unknown Poilu being laid to rest under the Arch of Triumph in Paris, and inset shows British soldiers carrying the unknown Tommy who found a final rest- ing place in Westminster Abbey in London.
