GERMAN WARSHIPS FOR AMERICA.

Fice German warsities, which have been turned over to the United States onder the terras of the Peare Treaty, steamed into New York harbour recently. They are the olf time dreadnought Ustfri-land, the light cruiser Frankfort, and three destroyer. They will be used for experimental purposes by the United States Navy and later will be destroyed at target practice. Photo shows the Ostfriesland, followed by the Frankfort and one of the destroyers, stearing into, Ambruse Channel.

MAYFLOWER CELEBRATIONS.

The 300th anniversary of the departure of The Pilgrim Fathers to America has been celo- brated at Southampton, England, with a very picturesque land and water pigeant.
