In the House of Commons, replying to Mr. Charles Palmer, Mr. Bonar Law said the Government fully realized the necessity of cutting down military expenditure wherever possible. It was not a question of increasing our commitments in Mesopotamia and Persia: on the contrary the Government was endeavouring to reduce them.
