A statement issued in reference to the estimates of the Air Ministry shows a reduction ci £12,000,000. The revised figures are £54,000,000 against the March forecast of £86.500,000. Amongst the causes of reduction is the redaction of the Air Force to a peace footing. The maximum establish ment this year, exclusive of India, 150.00), would be 'reduced by March IC $3,000. An accompanying memorandum emphasises that a large proportion of the 1919-1920 estimates were due to charges arising from the war for which no pro- vision would be required normally.

CONCHIE."

"It is impossible to co-operate with him in any direction what- soever," say the Acton teachers in petitions to the local Education Committee against the continued presence in their midst of Mr. C. H Fett, assistant teacher at Acton Wells School, who's a con- scientious objector. A man's heroism was proved afterwards by the manner in which he set himself to surmount the terrible handicap imposed on him. In the best sense, all these men were heroes.
