Prior to "the opening of the Criminal Sessions, this morning. application was made on behalf of Mr. Dennis Henry Blake for admission as a solicitor to prac tice in Hongkong.

The Attorney General, the Hon. Mr. H. E. Pollock, K.C., in making the application, said he begged leave to move that. Mr. Dennis Henry Blake be approved, ad- mitted and enrolled as a solicitor to practice in this Honourable Court. His Lordship would see from the documents before him that Mr. Blake was articled to M: W. E. Stephens, who was also Town Clerk of Great Yarmouth. The applicant was admitted as a solicitor in London, in 1912, and he also, it was understood, had acted for some time as assistant Town Clerk of Great Yarmouth. On the out- break of war, in August, 1914. Mr. Blake enlisted in the Army in the Bedforshire Regiment and was given a temporary commis- son RS Lieutenant and WAS subsequently promoted to the rank of temporary Captain. in April 1915. He served in France for nearly two years. In the course of his service Mr. Blake was wounded and Was then sent for duty with
