THE UNFORGIVEABLE SIN.
Notes of a sermon by the Rev. J. Kirk Maconachie at Union Church on Sunday evening "Whosoever shall speak a word against the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven him; but whosoever shall speak against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world nor in that which is to come."-Matt.

THE HONGKONG BED.
Mr. William Baker, Honorary Director of Dr. Barnardo's Homes, writes to us as follows:-.
....We have received from Mrs. Pollock a remittance of £500 so kindly raised in Hongkong to endow a bed in Dr. Barnardo's Homes. A brass tablet is being prepared and will be affixed above the bed with the following in- scription:
THE HONGKONG BED. In acknowledgment of services rendered to the Em- « pire-and in memory of those who died in the War 1919.
The sum of £500 is being in- rested in War Loan and a permanent endowment will be created and a large number of the Nation's destitute boys will. now and in the years to come, receive their first foretaste of happiness when sleeping in the "Hongkong" Bed.
Dr. Bamardo's Homes have re- ceived very generous support from Overseas during the stress and strain of the war years, but no outpost of Empire has been so generous as Hongkong in pro- portion to its size. Hongkong has sent more than any other outpost of Empire, and we desire to thank very heartily through you all the generous subscribers.
Will you also please accept our thanks for any assistance you

The matter came to a head when a man believed to be possessed by a blind and dumb spirit was restored to the rational use of his faculties. The common people cried, "Is not this the Son of David?" They judged Him by His fruite, praising the grace which flowed so and mercy freely from Him and gorifying God Who had given such power to men. But those others shat their eyes to the plain mean- ing of the facts they had come to look into, and whilst unable to deny that good was done they
