throughout been of the most candia? nature,"
Mr. Little has just undergone a serious operation, which, coupled with an inability on his part to agree that certain alterations in tha palley, of conducting our business in China were to the advantage of the Company, has led him to place his resignation în our hands, which wa have reluctantly accepted. We have arranged personal terms with Mr.. Little which are quite agreeable both to him wad to m, and it is a matțar ef satisfaction to us that, though no kinger actively directing our business, his experience and advice will be at our service, e
It is with deep regret we learn that rumours of a nature contrary to the actual facts, have obtained a wide sirenlation concerning Mr. Little and his relations with us. We not only have no sympathy with them, but resent as much as he does their existence. Mr. Little has, as we have said, rendered us the best and most efficient servibes for which we thank him and which we highly appreciate. We have expressed our practical appreciation in the terms offered Mr. Little by us and accepted by him, which though changing our relations, do not saver them.
