WOLFRAM

The Ban

lengthy of the

Rangoon goon Times Dab statement on the wolfrath industry. The British Government announces that no wolfram will be purchased which is not shipped before the 30th April. Hitherto the producers" have understood that the pur. chase of all ofe available would [continue to sir months after signing of the Peace. The paper learns that the opinion is strongly held that the Home Government is evading its responsibilities to the producers, as that in view of the frequent statements made as to the armistice not being Peace, It will be decidedly unfair if pro- ducers are out of their market. It is said that the Home Govern- ment has recently been selling

Bima ore to smelters at a loss, of twenty shillings per unit. The fact that the price is controlled and that no wolfram could be sold except to the Government justifies the demand that the Government must keep its word or else com-

pensate the producers for the

loss of profits for the remaining period.
