having been read, the Chairman said:
Before moving the adoption of the Report and Accounts as presented. I would like to read a few extracts from the Minutes of Meetings held in the past in connection with this City Hall, for I think in view of the proposal to replace this building by a new one as a War Memorial, it is desirable that some of the history and the present position of the City Hall should be understood by the Community.

SATURDAY'S FOOTBALL. There is a good programme of interesting matches for Saturday next at the Valley, the Senior game being between the Navy and the Club in the United Services League. The Club are not of the ranting for this League. and the Navy have only an outside chance of losing first place. A lose against the Club on Saturday and a defeat in their remaining match with the Royal Engineers, would place the Engineer at the top of the League. Although these results are not probable, yet everything is possible in sport, and the Club
