Master Fined for Boarding His Own Vassel,

The first prosecution of its kind under the Defence of the Resur Act was heard at Hull Police Court, recently, when Ole Andrews Foss. master of the Norwegian steamer St. Olaf, was summoned for going aboard his vessel whilst she was lying in the Humber estuary without the written authority of the Humber Conservancy Board. Detective Cleveland stated that during an absence of defendant the 'ship. was moved out of the Alexandra Dock into the Humber estuary. Defendant broke the regulations on bis return by hailing a tug and boarding his vessel without the written authority. Defendant, who plea ed ignorance, was fined one guides.
