Alleged 'Gratting." Chicago, January 9,➡ The Superintendent of Police, Mr. Charles C. Healey of this city, together with a number of others, was arrested hers yesterday qu charges of grafting. Anglo-Indian Recruits.

At a recent meeting of the Auglo-Indian Empire League, Bombay Provicoial Branch, held recently, Mr. B. A. E. Payne, the President, expressed his regret that neither the recruiting cam psign nor the work of the ladies' circle bad been quite successful, in fact the former was a great disappointment to the leaders of the community. As more men would be soon required at the front, especially in Mesopotamin, he exhorted sil to combine in order to raise fresh recruita so that it could never be anid that ike Anglo-Indian Company had held back when their country needed them.
