There has been more enquiry sir ce our last report dated the Bih instant, and the market shows signs of strengthening: Shipping shares PAPIOL & TE
have been in better demand, the market closing firm with buyers predominsting..

In the North, the market has not undergone much change. Cottons have eased off somewhat; Shanghai Cottons after having found buyers at Tia. 100, have dropped back to Tis. 29, and Ewos are once again on offer st Tin. 150. Kougyika have been done at Tim. 14.35, but there are sellers at the close at Tle. 144. Langkat have remained steady round about Tle, 28, Shanghai Dooks are unchanged at Tls, 74.Rubben again have improved, and Anglo-Javàs have been done as high as Tis, 13.
Hngkong and Shanghai Banks continue firm; a small male was reported at $755, otherwise there Las been to business. Arcording to advices received from Shangkai, shares there are higher than here, having been dealt în at about 6770.
Unions are the only Marias Losurance shares that have miss reported, shares having changed hands at $920, North China are on- quired for locally at Tl, 165.
"Both China Fires and Hongkong Fires are in request at same quotations ne last week, y'u: $154 for the former and $385 for the latter, There has again been a firming up of Skipping shares.
