The table in Mr. Wood's Court, at the Palice Court this morning, presented the appearance of a jeweller'a shop. Two Chinese were charged with being in an- lawful possession of several piroca of jewellery including two solid gold bracelets, three half soTER- signe in the form of a branch, and five ringe, to the total value of $200.
Defendants denied that the articles were stolen, saying that they had come from the country and before leaving were given a quantity of gold by their father so that it could be converted into rings.
