despatch the two extra steamers Sannki Mara and Wakasa Mara leaving Kobe on the 5th and 25th inst, respectively, in addition to the European regular liners. The above vessels combined are expected to load about 20,000 tons goods, but how to dispose of the remaining 10,000 tons within only a month is a question with which the parties concra- ed are combating. A similar thing may be said of the Indian service. Only a couple of N.Y.K. steamers are scheduled to leave Japan for India: towards the end of this month, with 10,000 tons goods. No foreign or Japanese tramp vessel is now to be obtained for this service, and the remain- ing cargo amounting to 15,000
tons
"will have to be carried after the turn of the year.
