the Lowther Rouge. One man was drowned, the remaining members of the crew being landed to-day at Barry by the Lowther Bange. The latter was damaged about the bow. The Polish Prince was 1,862 tona not. From New York she went to the West Indies, and thence to Queenstown, where she arrived on July 14. The Lowther Range Failed from Manchester, Eng.,on July 15, for Montreal.
Shipping Disaster la Tsugaru Straits.
The 6.8. Kasams Maru (2,423 tons) belonging to the Tanimiohi Shoten, Tokio, ran on a sonken rook off Shiriva Mlaski LighthousS in Tsagoru Strait on the 18th at 7.30 pm. while on a voyage from Otaru to Tokio. The vessel had a fall cargo of coal, the weight of which scon broke the ball in two. Captain Shimomura, the officers and crew landed safely at the Lightboose. The steamer was purchased by the Taniiichi Shoten for Y100,000 in June last and was under charter to the Hokkaido Tanko Kaisba.-Kobo

Queen Charlotte Trip Going Stroog.
The opening round trip of the Union Steamship Co.'s steamer Camosun to the Queen Charlotte Islanda ia developing a very decided tourist atmosphere. ▲ considerable number of Van- couver business men have already booked their passage for the round trip, which will cooupy ten days and which should prova very attractiva to the travelling pablio. Starting from Vancouver the Camosun will proceed to Prince Rupert and from there she will pro- | coad to Stewart, at the head of the Portland Canal, then to Masunt,
in the Queen Charlotte Islande, returning to Prince Rupert and allowing passengers one clear day there. From there she will go to Skidegate, Jedway, Ikeda Bay, where there is a wireless station; Rose Harbour, the big whaling station, and then direct back to Raport before coming south. The Camosun, which is skip- pered by Captain Dixon, is at prosent on the Wallace ways, being overhauled, but she will be alongside the Union Steamship dock to-morrow. She is one of the best boats in the company's fleet and the special excursion rate will be $40, which will io- olude everything, Vancouver World.
