The above s'gnals will, as here- tofore, be hoisted only when typhoons exist in such positions or are moving in such directions that information regarding them is considered to be of importance to the Colony or to shipping leaving the harbour.
URGENT SIGNALS.
In addition to the above, when it is expected that the wind may increase to full typhoon force at any moment, the following Or gout Signals will be made at the Water Police Station, and re- posted at the Harbour Office:- THREE EXPLOSIVE BOMBS AT INTERVALS OF TEN SECONDS.
