Sir R. L. Borden said that four days before the outbreak of war ke telegraphed the Imperial Government to the effect that if warship, or coast charges of the receiving Sta- broke out Canadia would regard it as her own. (Cheere.) The re- sources of the Empire were abundant, almost unlimited, and be had do fear of the future. The whole Empire was prepared to take its part. He dwelt in the miscalculations of Germany about the Empire, which to day, was more strongly united than ever and ready to fight to the death. South Africa, with the heroic figure of General Boilis in the conquered German Colony, was a real pistare of what the Empire wae. When peace came there would be complex problems for the consideration of the Dominions, but doubtless they would find wiss and great solutions....
