It is stated in Rotterdam that during the nine days of the cloeing of the Balgo Datch frontier four hundred thousand German first line troops from the Eastern front passed through Belgium with the object of meeting the French pressure.

A huge mass of artillery was collected, including two hundred beavy guas from Conrtrai. June 19, 4.15 p.m. Flight Lieutonact Warnelord V. O, was killed on Thursday after- roon at the Bao aerodrome. His passenger was an Americas journalist named Henry Needham, and they fell eight hundred feet. The cause of the accident is cot explained. Both men were so sbattered as to be unrecognisable. The remains were placed in the mortuary of a British hospital at Versailles. They wore covered with the Union Jack and the Stars and Stripes and were collected by the British wounded inmates, two British coldiers, with arms reversed, perform- ing vigil. The funeral takes place on Sunday,
