"April 10, 140 a.m. The Admiralty announces that twenty-four persons were drowned and twenty-seven are missing from the transport Manitou. The loss of life is apparently due to the capsizing of two boats,
The Manitou itself is undamaged..
Torpedoed Without Notice.

April 18, 8.20 p.m. Reuter's correspondent at Flushing states that twenty-two of the orew of the Gresk steamer Ellis Pontos declare that the vessel was twice torpedoed without warning, westward of Nordhinder last evening. The vessel was empty. '
The ore rowed for two and a half hours before they renohed Nordhinder, The captain was badly wounded and has been sent to hospital:
British Trawlers Attacked.

There were losses on both sides, which are said to include at least a hundred killed.

Effective Aerial Work on the Suez,
April 18, 9.30a.m. The Press Bureau issues a message from Cairo to the effect that. three neroplanes from the Suez Canal reconnoitred on the 15th inst. to El Sirr, twenty-five miles south of El Ariab, effectively dropping nine bombe. About 150 to 200 tents were seen. No enemy's troops are on this side of El Sirr.
The distance flown was over 170 miles.

Turkish Attick on British Transport, The Admiralty announces that the British transport Manitou,
"April 1-10.45 p.m. with troops on board, was attroked by a Turkish torpado-boat in the Aegean Ssas to-day.
