The report of the above Oom- pany for presentation to the shareholders at the thirty-third annual general meeting, to be held at the offices of the General Agents, at 12 15 p.m. on Wednes- day, 24th March, states:-
The General Agents bag to submit to the shareholders their report on the Company's busines for the past year with a statement of accounts to 31 Dicember 1911.
THE HONG KONG TELEGRAPH.
The year's working shows a nat profit of $39,760,31 and na there! wag a debit balance of $60,211.00 brought forward from the pre- vions account, there is a debit balance left of $20.445.08 to be carried forward to the now period.
Daring the first half of the year the competition in refined sugar. in the Philippines was extremely severe, but the refinery worked at a small profit. With the out- break of the European war, how- ever, conditions na regards suza improved considerably and en abled us to show a more patie factory result,
