Au Early Call for the Brigade.

This morning, shortly after four ofclock, a fire broke out in one of the store sheda belonging to the military aathorities in the det»n- tian buracks enclosure. The Fire Bigade received the alarm at about 4.27 and quickly attended, under the supervision of Station Superintendent Lane.

The fire was well alight when they arrived, a portion of the roof having already fallen in. The Brigade stood by with two hoses out and got the fire under after an hour and a hall's work.

The cause of the fire is un- known, as also is the extent of the damage done. The building was an open store and contained a quantity of matting, bedding etc.
