ARMY TERMS EXPLAINED. Army corps is a complete army on a small suale in itself. The atrength varies from 35,000 t 45,000 men.

Division is a force of infantry, cavalry, and artillery, usually with a strength of from 15,000 to 20,000 men. Brigade is a force of infantry or Cavalry. The infantry brigade is from 4,000 to 7,000 strong "The cavalry brigado is from

1,000 to 2,000 strong, Regiment of infantry ia from

2,000 to 4,000 strong. cavalry regiment. is from 500 to 1,000 men strong. Squadron of cavalry is from 15t

to 209 men strong. Battery of artillery in the British and French armies has 6 guns and about 200 men. In the German Army consists of 4 guns and 150 men. In the Russian Army, it consists of 8 guns and 250 men,
