An Amsterdam message to (London, dated Septembar 12th, arted that the German Govern ment had published the numbers of prisoners of war taken to September 11th, as follows:-

San Francisco, Oct. 2. On the 30th, the German oraiser Leipzig appeared off Feru and sunk the British steamer Binkfields (3,763 tops), belonging to the Bank Shipping Co. Her crew were removed to a transport accompanying the cruiser and arrived at Callao, Peru, on the let instant.
The principal cargo of the sun- ken steamer was sugar valued at 40,000. The Leipzig received supplies of coal and provisions from a German steamer.
