The Cricket Ball Strike.

The oriokat ball makers on strike in Tonbridge and district! have rejected the latest settlement offer made by the masters, which wae that if the men would return at, onco, and work loyally until Aug. 29, the employers would pay the increased rate of wages from Aug. 31. The men, who ask that the increase should be paid immediately on, work being. resumed, are requesting another conference with the employers, to consider any evidence the om- ployers may care to offer with rogard, to present contracts which they are obliged to carry out at the old prices.
