New Harbour Light. The new harbour light at Fort Cornwallis, Penang, which is itted with all the latest improve- ments, was put in working order few days ago under the direo- tion of Mr. Edgar Galistan, Light House Engineer, who came from Singapore for this purpose. The light is an occulting va pour light of the third order, of 9,000 candle powder, showing two eclipses of hree seconds' duration, and the other of twenty-one seconds' Juration. It is fixed on a struó- ture of a white iron-built tower, 70 feet in height, visible as o vadius of 15 miles. It also hos red sectors covering the danger shoal. and the.
