A start has b:en made at Clyde.. bank in putting the massive urbines on board Britain's largest finer, the now Canarder Aquit ania. Their total weight is about 1,400 tons. These engines are he biggest ever construoted, and large, touring motor car could be comfortably housed inside the casing of each. There are over a million turbine bladea, which, if placed end to end, would reach wer 140 miles, the bladen varying in length from 1 to 20 inchos These turbines are absolutely the latest production of marina dag. ineering. Thousands of pounds have been spent in experimenting, and full use has been made of the great experience gained by the Cunard Company in the con struction and running of their other turbined

This ensures more work from both coal and water. A second special is made
