Curious Dockyard Blundor,
"
In the Report of the Committee on Public Accounts a curious instance of waste of money in given. It appears that 48 mooring buoys for the new torpedo range at Loch Long were obtained at a cost of £20 each. Those were found to be too small to support the weight of tho mooring chair owing to the depth of the water. New buoys and to be secured at a cost of £45 each, thus causing considerable lose to tho public.
