Imprisoned for Desertion- In the Singapore Marine Court, on the 8th inst. Commander tad- cliffe, the Master Attendant, con- viotel R. Hawkins, fireman, and R. Endy, nssistant cook of the "Afghan Prince," for desertion. Hawkins was sentenced to four weeks rigorous imprisonment and Eady to twenty-one days. Both mon werealso ordered to forfeit all pay earned. Captain E. Thomas of the "Afghan Prince" gave evidence.
